Geographic South Pole

The Geographic South Pole (or the Terrestrial South pole) is not the South Pole, but is the South Polecounting earth's 23 degree tilt. During the summer the South Pole is always above the horizon and at the equinox it rises to it's maximum height of about 23.5 degrees. During the winter it is below the horizon.
